Mobilisierungskampagne: Europa wirkt in der Metropole Ruhr

On the 26th of May the time has come: The polling stations open in Germany for this year’s European elections. Various mobilization campaigns have been underway for several months to encourage them to exercise their right to vote and actively participate in shaping Europe.

A particularly wide-reaching campaign is currently taking place in the Ruhr area.
As we reported last week, the website www.europawahl.ruhr was launched as a foundation. In order to clarify the regional relation and the proximity to the Ruhrgebiets-cities, the Website naturally runs on the Top-Level-Domain .ruhr!
The campaign is aimed at the approximately 3.8 million eligible voters in the Ruhr area and underlines the importance of a strong Europe for the Ruhr Metropolis.
Some transport companies in the Ruhrgebiet cities support the campaign by putting the election message where it belongs – on the streets of the cities.
The Bochum-Gelsenkirchener Straßenbahnen Aktiengesellschaft (BOGESTRA) has provided a total of five trams with the motto of the „My Voice for Europe“ campaign.
Duisburger Verkehrsgesellschaft AG (DVG) currently has five buses in campaign design in use, which will attract potential voters until May 26th.
In addition, you will find the election message „My voice for Europe“ in the coming weeks on websites of Ruhr district cities, location magazines, urban vehicles again, parking tickets and e-mail signatures. You can find the press releases here.
