We’ve waited a long time for this moment to come, and now the first .ruhr registration phase has got successfully underway – hatsoff.ruhr! Just a few clicks are all that stands between brand owners and their .ruhr domains – and the first domains on the web with a new extension to be launched in Germany after 28 years of the .de monopoly. We are truly delighted that we have already recorded the very first registrations from a number of leading companies.
And, as if that wasn’t exciting enough, we also played host to a camera team from WDR in our offices today. WDR will be broadcasting a short feature on .ruhr – and the first step towards an Internet revolution in Germany – at 6 p.m. this evening (repeated at 7:30 p.m. as part of regional programming).
